I have been loyal Dodo customer since 2010. My telephone service is with Telstra and my internet service is with Dodo. Telstra in our area upgraded the network to NBN and our internet service with Dodo stopped working. Upon discussions with dodo, they advised us we now must upgarde our plan to a higher prized NBN services. Which is fine. What I didn't want is after 7 years of no contract service I had to go on a contract or pay a new setup fee to maintain services with them. I wanted to cancle my services and move to a more competitive services provided given that I had to pay upfront or go on contract. To retain me Dodo offered to match the service with discounts and not charge any setup fee. I agreed. Part of the transition I requested dodo to cancel my old service and setup my new service on the following day. Dodo representative agreed to follow up to finish applications but didn't follow up the next day. So i called. When called the new agent and staff refused to offer me agreed deal as service was canceled by previous agent. Mind you i wasnt even informed by assisting agent that, i may face proble. I'm without internet for 3 days so changed my service to tpg. Mind you all customer service reps and Dodo are lacking basic customer service training. They don't introduce themselves on call. defensive. I wanted to Make formal complaint and request for reference. The agent refused me opportunities. Wanted me to talk to cancellation department.
